Steak in a Red Wine Marinade

Okay, these quantities are a bit approximate, but you'll get the idea!

(For 4 servings)

Steak - of your choice - fat trimmed off

1 generous cup of red wine - mmm, what to do with the rest?

A squirt of soy sauce

A spladoosh of fish sauce

2 cloves chopped garlic

A dollop of maple syrup

2 tsps cheaty chilli (ie. the kind that comes in a jar in the fridge)

A little bit of lemon juice

Combine in a large shallow dish and place your steak in a single layer to soak it all in for a good few hours.

Barbecue and serve with a nice Greek-ish salad as shown!  This will become your specialty...
